Greetings to all of you.
I was not present at this year's Moesgard extravaganza, suffice to say I have heard loudly of the promises and resolutions for the future Brotherhood of Jomsborg.
I'm pleased to announce therefore that I'll be working in conjunction with Qanun to bring you EINHERJAR MAGAZINE - The official army information source. We aim to expand on our comrade Meldric's endeavours to bring this army further together. The magazine will contain all necessary information for the Einherjar soldier:
Dates, contacts, equipment lists and other info will be coupled with interviews, comedy and current events and practical information from craftsmen, historians and other experts.
We bring you yet another rallying banner - Let's make this an opportunity to put an end to ignorance, malice and dissent within our ranks.
One Army!

What do you think about an "introduction-page"? I mean a page where members of the army can introduce themselves to the other army members with a few words... ?

Maybe we should do this chapter by chapter so that every issue a different elag chapter tells us about themselves and their members each have a chance to say something.

Absolutely on target Meldric. We will do that and more. What I plan on doing first is introducing the army in our debut issue with a 'bestiary'. A roster detailing the structure, chapters and individual members of the army as well as our aims and ideologies. I'll need full co-operation from every styrsman and commander for this as we'll need a photo of every member with basic details. More to come.

Just a small question...what shell be written in this magazine, which can not be written here on the HP? Is this magazine not useless double work? Only a question...

The magazine will be something in addition to the Forum ... it will contain info, articles, artwork, interviews and everything else a 'zine would.
Also not all of our brothers have access to this forum and some never will ... for them it is important to have somehting we can print out.
Aside from all of that i think that having somehtign like this that comes out once every 3 or 4 months will allow people to look forwards to something, so psychologically it will be different.
I am sure there will be some duplication but it is all about presentation

Work continues on the Einherjar magazine and Brother Igor has agreed to do the interview.
If you have any articles or letters you would like published send them to us so we can try to include them.
Some of you have already submitted articles.
Please understand that we need your help to make this Zine somethign special that we can all enjoy yet at the same time it is down to Alex what goes into it.

ehem... just an idea: How about a "standardized version" of the Jomsviking-Saga? In the 'zine, so everybody in the Army could look up questions about the historical background?
And how about, just for staters, some profile on the "big boys" in the leaddership of the Army?
Just some ideas...

I have already started transcribing the Jomsviking Saga for the magazine ... we plan on breaking it into parts to make it more manageable and more interesting.
And yes we will be including a 'family tree' of who does what in the Brotherhood
Thanks for the suggestions ... the fact that we have the same idea simply means that we are thinking on the right lines so that we publish what it is that people want.
Please everyone continue to suggest and submit ideas for the Zine.
